It's probably a good thig one can't look to far back into our posts because little patterns would appear.
In my case weird shoes and quirky socks are approaching a fetish like interest.
Now granted I don't buy any of it but it sure catches my eye.
So with that disclaimer I bring the Masai Barefoot Technology shoe, a shoe with a very pronouced rocker that "stimulates a natural gait and reduces stress on knees and hips". Among other things they offer a hiking boot and a sandal.http://www.backinaction.co.uk/mbt-info or http://www.mbt-uk.com/masai barefoot technology shoes
Ya know I just don't feel like I've done my part without coming up with the kinky shoe of the month, coming soon lightweight socks with holes in them.

Actually, Larry, one of my most important criteria for a hiking shoe is that it have plenty of rocker.

So many shoes/boots that are made for backpacking feel more like those lead deep-sea diver's boot with a rigid, flat bottom. They make me want to walk like a robot version of Frankenstein.

I like a fairly stiff, supportive shoe but with ample rocker so that I have a natural gait. My winter shoe is a Montail Comp that fits this criteria.

I may have to check these out if I can find them locally!
