Hi, has anyone been out to the Northern Cascades/know what the conditions are like from mid to North Washington? I'm hiking from Trout Lake to Manning on the Pacific Crest Trail, starting next Saturday, but trying to determine how far I'll realistically get. Any insight greatly appreciated!

On the Fortune Lakes area and hit snow @ 4000 ft. The PCT is another 1000-1500 ft higher so I'd expect to have a fair amount of snow travel with significantly more time to navigate the trail.

When you say Trout Lake I assume you mean South Washington

No snow at Crofton Butte 5200 feet just SW of Mt Adams June 12 or so http://www.portlandhikers.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=19303

snow maybe at 6200 feet which is the PCT going around Mt Adams, so you may not have much problem with snow

some of those streams should be difficult to cross like the out flow from Mt Adams glacier

probably difficult snow going through Goat Rocks, like going by Old Snowy
