A friend and I are hiking the Devil's Path next weekend. Logistical question:
We only have one car, what are the options?
Calling a taxi on Thursday or Sunday is the current plan.
Are there hiking groups we could meet Sunday to get a lift?
Hitchhike back to the car?
Renting a car is not an option (NYC on 4th of July, not happening).
Other pointers? water seems to be a big factor on this one (besides the obvious).
This is why we usually do a loop or out/back. The holiday slims the list of potential hiking partners down (I can't think of a better way to spend my 3-day wknd!)
