So it's Friday. We have a 2 night trip this weekend.
I packed and prepped throughout the week and today is the day we go. Unfortunately, I need to put in a solid days work prior to hitting the trailhead. It's 8 am now and I have till 2p to break outta here like kids on the last day of school.
My sister, 11yr old daughter, and I will be doing a 15-18 mile loop in LCW (McCurdy-Craig Meadows- Ben Tyler). We were hoping to go somewhere in the Indian Peaks or James Peak wilderness but there is still a bit of snow up at the high points. I don't have gators and will not expose my daughters little legs to postholing just yet.
Here are our packs that I have all ready to go. We scored my kid's from the latest REI garage sale. They are now sitting in the back seat as we're leaving straight from work. I'm just stoked and had to share.
