I've been practicing packrafting on the lower 5 miles or so of Pacific Creek. I hiked into the Teton Wilderness and put in at the confluence of Gravel Creek and Pacific Creek. It was a good run. Close the top the main channel got rather narrow and had lots of driftwood on the side. Probably not a big deal but I portaged it to be safe. I had no problem with anything after that.
My question is this – does anyone know what Pacific Creek is like farther up? I love to float more of it but all the sweepers and strainers make me nervous to try it with no info.
