Considering trying the GG murmur hyperlight pack for my 3 season backpacking trips. Does anyone use this pack or have any experience with it? I currently use my ULA CDT pack which I LOVE. I use this pack 4 seasons for last 2 years now and I don't have any complaints. I was just sitting thinking since I have my weight down to about 10 lbs I can probably get away with a bit less of a pack for my summer trips. Any thoughts about the murmur? Thanks..

I have the following GG Packs: Mariposa, Gorilla and Murmur. I also had a Kumo ( exact same size as Murmur) but returned it as I ordered the wrong size and thought the Murmur met my needs. In hindsight, I think I should have kept it instead of the Murmur. I preferred its heavier duty construction, slightly wider hipbelt and zippered pocket on top. If you do not plan to use the hipbelt, this may not matter. For the small weight penalty, I would have preferred the full dyneema construction vs the silnylon sides of the Murmur. I did not like the slanted mesh pocket on the Kumo's front, as it is less functional than if it were straight across like the Murmur.

Overall, I think all of GG's products are well built and will last for ears. If you want more perspective on the Kumo, a fellow named Guthook ("Guthook Hikes") has an initial and long term review on his blog.
