I know a few people have made these before, cause its kind of simple.
I went to buy a stick-pic , but my trekking poles are currently Fizan, and they dont make one for it due to not having a tapered pole tip.
So I set out to make one. I had planned to use a thumb screw to lock it in place, but turns out theres enough taper for it to wedge on nicely right before the cylindrical section of the tip begins. I went slowly up on hole diameter and discovered the right size.
Simply took a wooden ball from Hobby lobby, drilled it out, and drilled a hole at an angle and tapped it for 1/4-20 threads. Nylon screw and nut from home depot (cut off) completes the ensemble for a total wt of 0.16 oz.
