I am planning a trip from Big Sandy to Elkheart (70 miles) on July 2 to the 8th. Ave 8 miles a day or more. Am flexible on itinerary. Anyone interested? Would be easier to shuttle cars if we both drive, but could split the cost of a shuttle service. I am 58 and am no trail animal but can accommodate other peoples styles. Can pick up from Denver airport.
We'll be too late for you this year. We'll be there around 23 or 24th I'd guess. Let me know how nasty the skeeters are. Seems to be little snow if I'm reading the NOAA data correctly.
Shuttle service is provided by the Great Outdoors Shop in Pinedale (which you can google). They can shuttle your car from your starting point to your destination so you don't have to worry about meeting them at the far end–your car will be there waiting for you.
