For the sake of all the confusion out there, I’d like to clarify something for everyone looking at a Caldera Cone.
There is a difference between the Caldera Kitchenâ„¢ and the Caldera Coneâ„¢ Stoves.
The Caldera Coneâ„¢ Stoves are the cooking stoves / systems designed by TrailDesigns. This is what you should be considering buying if you like the Caldera concept (which is a awesome concept in my opinion)
The Caldera Kitchenâ„¢ is nothing more than a nifty packing solution that Anti-Gravity Gear stumbled upon for SOME of the Caldera Coneâ„¢ Stoves. The shorter cones, it turns out, can fit inside a , so AGG built a little accessory kit for these shorter Caldera Coneâ„¢ Stoves. Now, at present the Caldera Kitchenâ„¢ kits only exist for the following:
* AGG 3cup
* Vargo 0.9 titanium pot
* Evernew 0.9 titanium pot
* BPL 500 mug
* BPL SUL 500 mug
It is unlikely that Caldera Kitchenâ„¢ kits will be launched for other cone sizes at these are the only Caldera Coneâ„¢ Stoves short enough to roll up fit in the . However, this doesn’t prevent one from hashing together your own ‘kit’chen that has similar components but doesn’t pack quite as nicely. I plan on doing it with my Ti-Tri Caldera, and will post pics when I get it together.
I hope this will clear up some confusion for those of you who are considering purchasing one of the Caldera Coneâ„¢ Stoves, I love mine (My SP600 Caldera and my Ti-Tri Caldera means I have TWO), and think you’ll love yours too.
