Hey everyone, I've spent an hour hunting around the site looking for a comprehensive list of reliable fabric retailers that sell silnylon, cuben, clips, buckles etc and I'm having a hard time finding any info on the topic. Could someone send me their list of online retailers for gear makers? Thanks

ZPACKS carries Cuben , Ultralight Insect Netting, .75 oz Pertex GL Ripstop Nylon, 95 oz Pertex Quantum Ripstop Nylon and other small items, ZIMMER BUILT carries lots of small Hardware.

I wish there was a way to turn these types of posts into a sticky for the forum. It seems like a pretty easy thing to do that would reduce redundant discussions and localize FAQ into a few informative threads. Thanks again everyone for contributing.

I thought I'd be able to help here with materials vendors, but everywhere I know of is already listed.

The only thing I can add is that Walmart, Joanne Fabrics, and others like them occasionally have somewhat high tech materials pretty cheap.

The materials can range from plastic buckles, barrel locs, high strength threads and sil-nylon to grosgrain and no see-um netting.

I get most of my fabric and hardwear from DIY Gear Supply. Scott is always great with shopping and communication. His prices for buckles and such are usually the lowest and you only pay actual shipping, so it's very affordable.

Yamamountaingear.com is also good for cuben and whatnot. Great place to go if you want a cuben stuff sack kit to make a bunch of cuben stuff sacks without having to buy everything separately (only $30).
