So I finally decided to break and buy an Arc Blast 60 Liter (because that ounce is well worth it). And today I saw that they added a new camo color, so I know many people out there like camo but I do not believe people in this forum love it much. If by any reason I do not like my backpack I would probably sell it here.

So my question is, would any of you prefer the camo over traditional colors?

I chose all green and black first, because I loved the color and I thought resell value would be better, but now that camo gets my attention because I could use it if I ever decide to go hunting and sometimes looking "stealth" gives you the "cool factor."

I got the orange for INCREASED visibility during hunting season. Hiking in the Catskills during late fall, you want to look as unlike a deer as possible.

But maybe that's not an issue where you hike, although it is probably pretty common elsewhere.

As far as the volume, for 3-season UL 60 liters is a lot of volume. Being new to UL I ordered a 52-liter because I didn't really have a feel for what I would need and decided to split the difference. For most of the stuff I do – 1-3 nights in areas with adequate water – the 45-liter would be more than enough. I could see how 60 liters would be useful for a thru-hiker carrying 5-10 days' worth of food and lots of extra water in desert conditions.

Probably best to get what you prefer because chances are you're going to like it and will have to live with it for the long haul. But if history is any indicator, you won't have any trouble selling it on BPL no matter what color it is.

You are right, I will be hiking much more than hunting so I think color is more important. I am planning a thru hike next year so the reason for the bigger bag.

I don't like black packs because they are darker inside which makes it harder to see things down inside… I find that annoying. Lighter and brighter colors make it easier to see what's down inside that hole..

I have the all green with black mesh/pockets/straps as well.

I have it because I thought it was the best looking color scheme. Im not a fan of the two-tone color schemes with the gray backpanel at all. I think that is due to width of the color rolls and minimizing wasted material. In spite of that, Joe is doing the solid green, and I bet will probably do solid other colors if you beg and plead.
