Anyone have any experience with Health Warrior bars. They don't pack a lot of calories, but they are low in sodium and have a lot of omega-3. I'm thinking they might be good for an everyday snack bar.

I've tried a couple before, they are ok taste wise and good nutrition wise. The only question i have, is do they treat the chia seeds to get rid of some of the anti-nutrients? Many (most?) raw seeds and nuts have some to a lot of anti nutrients like phytates in same.

Soaking and cooking are ways to deactivate these. I'm not aware if Chia seeds have a higher or lower amount of these innately. Otherwise, i do know that they are fairly nutritionally dense. I like the Kombuchas with chia seeds, though it's a bit slimy in texture.

In any case, i'm more of a DIY'er for many things, and would likely try to make my own version of these bars. Might look into that. Wouldn't want to cook the Chia seeds because the abundant polysaturated (Omega 3) oils in same would quickly destabilize with higher heat, but at the same time, soaking chia seeds turns them into a gelatinous mess… I've heard that some folks mist spray them with water to start a spouting process (which would help to deactivate the anti-nutrients). So maybe start to initially sprout them via spray-mist method, then dehydrate them at lower temps?
