I recently picked up a Clarkii rod from a BPL member on the Gear Swap Forum. When the rod came it had clearly been broken in shipment. The packing container had one end semi crushed. I checked with the seller who said he would check on insurance but then never got back to me. I had done a Paypal "gift" so I was SOL on my end. Rather then waste time with the original seller, I emailed Josh a picture of the rod and told him what happened. He told me to ship it to him and he would let me know about a repairing it.
I sent him the rod and a week later he returned it fully repaired for free! A rod I had bought second hand! Josh has great customer service and stood behind a product of his I had bought used. I would not hesitate to buy from Ruta Locura. I also have the Yana Poles and love them.
