Does anybody know where (or even if) I can buy just the hoser-style bags? I don't need the hose. Thanks!

I went to REI to buy a Platypus Zip top bag, but they didn't have it, so I got the 3 liter hoser bag. That works really good. Much better than the zip top bag. A little lighter. No zip top to accidentally open.

I just set the hose aside. Maybe will be good for something.

The Sawyer Squeeze fits on it without leaking. The thread pitch is different, but the plastic must be flexible enough or something. I don't plan on using it this way except maybe as a back-up – I don't trust bags with lap seams. Plastic seems fairly strong though. It would make a good gravity bag – with the hose.

I like to be able to fill it with water and carry it a distance, like a mile or two, but the handle isn't very comfortable, so I sewed on a small nylon webbing piece.

No, I don't know where to get just the bag.

This is probably obvious, but any of the regular Platy bags will work great. 1L and 2L.

Never seen a 3L Platy that wasn't a Hoser however. Did a quick search and couldn't seem to find one sold sans hose.

Yeah. I really like the opening in the corner though. First world problems.
