Is the current Gorilla spacious enough to hold MB Down Hugger #3 regular, SMD Skyscape Trekker, typical assortment of UL insulation and rain clothes, AND A GARCIA BEAR CANISTER?

Maybe…a lot will depend on your insulation. The Hugger #3, long johns and down sweater all get into one compression sack. Food goes into the Bear Ball. Insulation gets packed on top with every thing else (ditty bag.) I am good to about 25F, but it may be real full on a 4-5 day trip. Kind'a depends on what you pack for insulation. I use a wool sweater, extra set of socks, and long johns (often lights) as a base layer. My rain gear goes over all that, but isn't real comfortable since it doesn't breathe well. Really, it is only for rain…

My older Gorilla holds my Yeti under quilt, GoLite top quilt, my clothes to 25degrees, hammock, rain fly and a Bear Vault 500.

@ Dale:

You seem to have accomplished what I have been largely unsuccessful with.
Could you please share particulars on how do you load the pack's main body?
