Which ones do you like and why?
I'm thinking about a LT6 Airflow. Will my head get soaked when it rains? Is it worth it to be cooler when it doesn't?

well after much debate(with self) I purchased a OR seattle sombrero..it seems to be pretty highly thought of by other hikers.so I will give it a try .previously I was using a good ole U.S issue jungle boonie.but (sadly) it had to be put out of it's misery.true and trusted friend of a mire 19 years..lol..hey it was free..just traded 3yrs,14weeks for it..what a country
I have an LTM6 that I've modified into what I now proudly consider the ultimate Tilley. Modifications:
1) I carry a plastic shower cap in the hidden pocket to use over the crown when it's pouring. (Otherwise, yes, you will eventually get soaked.)
2) I got it a bit large so I could layer it over a beanie or balaclava for warmth when needed. But, I fished a polyester tape through the headband and secured it with a cordlock in the rear so I can cinch it up for a perfect fit.
3) The T6 family has a pretty wide brim that I prefer for sun protection. But, the wide brim can collapse when its windy. So, I added T3 style brass snaps to the side of the brim so I can snap up one or both sides to stiffen it in the wind.
Voila! The perfect Tilley.

Just finished a summer with an LT3. It's reasonably waterproof courtesy of a DIY DWR treatment, although it hasn't really been through an extended period of rain. Great hat, no regrets.
Tried the OR Seattle Sombrero, but it's very hot when it isn't raining.
