I'm thru hiking the smoky mountains in June.

Wondering where I can resupply or at least get a little food/snacks?

Anyone know if the Clingmans Dome Store has candy bars, food, or any snacks?

How about the Newfound Gap parking lot/bathrooms?

Can't speak for the Clingman's Dome Store, but there's no sort of resupply at Newfound Gap. You could easily hitch into Gatlinburg from there though.

Take everything you need, or plan on hitchiking into Gatlinburg or Cherokee.

As already mentioned, a ride to Gatlinburg or Cherokee is your only resupply option. No food at Clingman's and no potable water at the Newfound Gap bathrooms.

It's only about 75 miles. You could catch a ride to Gatlinburg or just carry enough food for 75 miles

A few folks have hired shuttle providers to bring them a food drop at NFG so they didnt have to lug it the first half. Either mailed it to them, or maybe they did their shuttle and left it with them then, or dropped it off with them on their way to park. It costs what a shuttle would.

Thanks. I guess we'll just bring what we need.

I've been to the gift shop there at Clingmans Dome. I know they sell a little something in the way of candy. But I can't remember what they have. I guess we'll use that as a little bonus surprise if they do have something.

I just did the section between Newfound Gap and Fontana Dam over Memorial Day.

There is no water or food at Newfound Gap. There are nice bathrooms though.

There is no water at Clingmans Dome or food other than what you buy at the gift shop a half mile away from the trail.

There was a trickle of water coming out of a rock about 2 miles south of Newfound Gap you can get water from right along the trail and plenty of water at each shelter.

We used The Hike Inn as a shuttle. I'd call them and I bet they'd be more than willing to take your money and bring you your food bag halfway if you don't want to carry it.

Also, we saw 10 bears between Fontana Dam and Spring Birch Camp.

I called the Backcountry Office at 865-436-1297

They said the store at Clingmans Dome had chocolate, trail mix, bottle water, and sometimes they have sodas.

FYI in case you're thru hiking the smoky mountains.
