I know someone has already done this, so I apologize ahead of time. Please send me in the right direction if you can find a URL.

I am going to buy a couple of yards of .34oz cuben, cut them diagonally, bond them, affix reinforcements on the corners and create triangle tarp doors for my flat tarp.

The only problem I have is creating the reinforcements. Can I use cuben scraps or cuben tape? I will affix a little shock cord to the corners and then guy them to the ridgeline and corner of the tarp.

Thanks in advance.

I've been down this road before.

I had some .74 ounce cuben fiber and made a tarp beak. The only trick was the fastening to the main tarp. I ended up using velcro dots, sewed and then glued on.

I did not use any reinforcement, but I think that you could easily use cuben tape to make a reinforced seam.

This beak is OK if you keep the main tarp in the same A-frame shape. If you change the shape, that changes how the beak would fit it.
