In the not-so-distant past, his service and communication was as good as it gets. Now, there's nothing. Hope he is not ill. Anyone know what's going on?

Just got a pillow from not more than perhaps a week or two ago. Not sure if something happened in the mean time but, he was extremely helpful then.
Looking at buying something from him late last year, he had a post on his website about his seamstresses taking some sort of leave at the same time, .. not sure that's the case anymore half a year later but maybe dealing with a backlog/ramping back up?
Have touched base by email 19May and by phone. I have found calling him and leaving a message will give you better communication results.
My guess is that he is just swamped. I e-mailed him a little over a week ago and it took a few days to get a response, which is understandable for a small cottage company.
He and I have been in contact the last few months. He always gets back but can sometimes be slow to do so as he's a pretty busy dude. I think a call on time sensitive stuff makes sense.
