I had asked Marco from Astucas for a break down of the weights of his insulated trousers and I thought this might be interesting info to post.

The approximate weights of the pants in size L are 235 g (APEX 67), 280 g (APEX 100) and 295 g (APEX 133). In size XL weights are 260 g (APEX 67), 315 g (APEX 100) and 370 g (APEX 133).

As these ship from the EU no sales tax is paid saving 21%. The Apex 67 model work out about 110$, shipping us costly at 40$ but that would cover 2 items. He said he can ship 5 items for 67$ if anyone was interested in a group purchase

Thank you for taking the time to get the info and post it here. I'm not interested in a group buy, but your post did remind me of a project i had forgotten about, adding a 2.5 oz Apex layer to my Montbell UL down pants… after Rick talked about his leaking so much, i'm paranoid about it and want to increase the durability/longevity (and why not add a little more warmth at the same time?).

I had an old pair on montbell UL inner years ago and do not recall loosing any feathers.
