I'm planning a Nankoweep-LCR-Phantom-North Rim loop for late September.

NankoweepKwaguntRoute
This is the area in question: Along the river, or overland?

This will be Day 2 and forward, with 7 or 8 days of food – around 26#, skin out, plus water.

Who has hiked from Nankoweep delta to the Little Colorado River, along the river (in the talus above the tamerisk), and how long did it take?

Who has done the overland route to Kwagunt Creek, and then down the river, and how long did it take? Is there a negotiable pour-off on Kwagunt?

And who has done "other variations"?

If I can hitch a ride to the LCR, I'll do it, especially from Kwagunt down.

Recommendations, Suggestions, "Don't Under Any Circumstances" ?

[I'm looking for "feet on the ground" experience, not "best guesses".]

Not sure how much this will help, but…

Last year, we did Nankoweap to Kwagunt (then bushwhacked up and over to end up at Nankoweap Creek).

Nankoweap to Kwagunt (along the river, sometimes lower; sometimes higher, depending on what route looked good as we went along). It took us about 5 hours, but we were going slowly, it was HOT, and the tamarisks were a b*tch!

I believe that they did a flooding since then which could totally change the tamarisk situation, so that's why I'm not sure our experience would help you. :^)

It's an amazing trip.

Valerie –

Good info on the downriver time.

Yes, the 2013 "High Flow Event" should have scrubbed out a lot of junk. Hopefully it left enough continuous shoreline to still complete that route. Even getting it done in a day would be fine with me.

"…bushwacked up and over" – Up Kwagunt, then northish, along the fault, right?
Do you recall the time for that?

Thanks!

Yep, that's what we did, and it took about 6 hours to the junction of the trail at Little Nankoweap Creek. Some WAY-fun scrambling on dry waterfalls on the way down!
