**I am a fan, user and now a reseller of Luxe products. I genuinely feel it is a solid small company with a strong and affordable product line. This website has been a great resource for me and has led me to many great products and experiences. I would like to offer some of my remaining Luxe stock, at a reduced rate to members of backpackinglight.

$50 Ultralight Tyvek Mesh Shelter 210 x 120 (FREE shipping CONUS) US sales only.

mesh tent

The Shelter is made from Dupont Tyvek, a non-woven high density polyethylene (HDPE) Tyvek is water resistant, durable, breathable and strong with a high tear strength. These ultralight mesh shelters are the perfect companion for that lightweight adventure and can be added to virtually any tarp or fly for ultimate protection from the elements. Featuring a high density bug-proof mesh with zippered doorway and bucket style Tyvek floor.

Note: I have used this same Inner tent on two occasions and like it very much. However, I currently I have switched use the Borah Bug Bivy (a great product). However, the the Luxe Mesh shelter is a great product and has been very popular in both 210×120 and the lighter 210×85. I only have one remaining in stock.

Features:

Fine bug-proof high density mesh
Durable water resistant Tyvek bucket style floor
Zippered doorway
Peg points and roof connector tabs attached
Tyvek carry satchel

Size: 210 L x 120 W
Fabric: High density mesh
Floor: Tyvek sheet

I don't think you are going to sell many of these unless you list

1) The type of Tyvek used (e.g. 1443R or whatever it is)
2) PICTURES
3) better specs

Can we please not call "inners" or "bugnets" as "shelters"

oh, and +1 for Tyvek specs and actually IN-USE photos.

"Can we please not call "inners" or "bugnets" as "shelters" ?"

Agreed. A shelter should provide shelter from some wind or rain. Mesh only stops bugs.

Thank you for pointing out the photo was left out and also thank you Johnathan for helping out by posting a link. It's appreciated. However, I am not sure we are technically allowed to post links to commercial websites, even if we are simply using it for a reference and not suggesting a purchase… You may know better than me though. That New Zealand company does offer a good bit of the tent portion of the Luxe line at lower rates than their european counterpart, our UK namesake. I imagine some of that has to do with shipping costs.

Anyway I uploaded a photo to the ad and here is the promo material for both the 85 and 120 I have been selling. They both have actually proven to be quite popular and I have only the one 210 x 120 left, until next month.

Bob I 100% agree with you…and thought the same thing at first. However, that is what the company calls it and what it says on the packaging. The best I can do is call it an inner net tent which is named Tyvek Mesh Shelter. Technically, it is a shelter from bugs, which on the Florida Trail is no small thing…

honestly, I never thought about what specific Tyvek is used. I will look into that and post it soon.

I used the 210×120 on a few outings. The single ones seem to be more popular but I've always felt more comfortable with more width. I can't find a single photo of my personal one which I sold used. I just purchased I nice durable camera though prior to my last trip so in use photos should be a lot easier. Thankfully we have the power of google on our side. I did a quick search and found quite of a link of someone with the inner set up. I'll see if I can find a better photo.

Hi Woods

Your concern is appreciated. However, it's URLs to eBay which really get stomped on. A URL to a web site showing the tent you are selling – in Gear Deals, is usually OK.

I tend to agree that a bug net is not really a 'shelter' – except for use in serious bug/insect country. We do have mossies in Oz. But not fussed either way myself.

Cheers

Yes, Michael Wong (Luxe Outdoor) just confirmed that .
It is the same type used by FedEx for their envelopes.
