So I guess all the text I wrote in the descriptions doesn't actually show up when you post the photos…well, live and learn…

I've had issues with pictures spreading out like this where you have to slide the window left to right instead of up and down, even when I tried to add spaces between them. What I do is add a space between pictures and type a period "." before posting the next picture. Others don't do this and I'm not sure if the issue is because of my browser, OS, or what.

Nice pictures and looks like a great trip.

Yes, I also was a little disappointed initially by descriptions merely disappearing into the web vapor. I thought the descriptions would probably appear as captions. The descriptions are helpful for assembling the post, verifying the correct order. The captions are merely part of the body of the text, separated by spaces as necessary.

I first tried posting photos a few years ago and gave up, could not figure out how to do it. Quite recently I gave it another try and ran into the same issue. This time I kept trying and discovered that the photos will not post unless there is something in the description box. A blank box brings the procedure to a halt. There MUST be something in the description box such as "number one" or "xyz" for it to work properly. Now I am an expert (winky)!

A little off topic: since I rarely post photos and would probably forget otherwise I am finding it handy to keep a photo resizing hint next to my BPL link in the bookmarks folder. A factor of multiplying by 0.33 seems to work well for my original photo size.

Note: You can go back and edit your post and add captions if you wish.

Also, if you hover your pointer over the picture, the caption will reveal itself in all its glory.

Not for me. You must have one of those super secret military browsers, Ian….

Interesting. It worked when I was on a PC and using Internet Explorer earlier but it doesn't from my Mac using Chrome or Safari. To be continued….

Mine either (PC with Firefox). I did go back and edit to create some space. However, no text. I guess I'll try and improve it next time. Smaller size images maybe..it took so long to add them I didn't have the heart to rewrite everything.

Anyway, I don't suppose anyone has any experience and confirm that is a bear skull? It really was quite large. Found it while walking way to far off trail looking for that elusive perfect camp site. Tick heaven. Thank heaven for permethrin treatment. 0 ticks for me…5 found on my hiking partners socks during that little off trail jaunt.

From Virginia. Love Virginia. Recognize the sights. Feel free to take the ticks with you.

I can confirm that you found a black bear skull. Awesome find. Lots of bears around here – very rare to find a skull for one though.

Thanks! I thought it might be a bear. Besides one large owl we mostly saw see alot of deer. A herd of them walked the perimeter of our site the second night and didn't seem to be bothered by us at all, and just about every morning they were on predawn patrol in or around the campsite. No bears though. Not sure where the rest of that bear was at but it was kinda cool. It's funny, everyone seems to keep asking me if I brought it home…. I'm still in the process of trying to lighten the load as it stands. Thanks again!

Woods –

"Picture speak louder than words".

I can read your story by what is visible. Looks like a good trip.
