One of the most interesting products featured at the summer show, to me, was the Heat It cooking system.
Potentially it can turn a lot of existing cooking kits into an as efficient but more versatile and lighter Jetboil.
One aspect that I like a lot is the added safety factor, I could be wrong but it seem to me that it would almost or totally contain any "flaring" making it a lot safer to cook inside a tent for most, not just the usual climbers that are prepared to take the risk.

Jetboil 425 g 15 oz

Average existing system

Ti 1 L pot 130 g
Stove 80 g
Heat it 138 g

Total 348 g 12.28 oz

Lightest (?) system

Firefly 1100ml pot 88 g
Giga micro stove 60 g
Heat It 138 g

Total 286 g 10.09 oz
I am very much looking forward to a review and some comments on this one.

hey Franco
Could you describe what it probably looks like?
I assume its some sort of MSR heat exchanger type thing, but it must have an adjustable girth

Jonathan
There is a brief intro about it here (somewhere…) but have a look at their site
http://www.ortik.net/, have the sound on , you will love it, Ben did.

Don't pick on me, you know that I have some serious problems with this new metric system. The Firefly is of course the one liter and a bit pot ,the Jetboil is 1 liter minus the safety margin.

There's a new metric system?!? Just kidding, constantly converting really make me think too. I just can't divide by 28 in my head that easily.

The Heat It looks very promising. Their mastery of the English language, somewhat less so.
