No, not an extra large size , just a mistaken attempt on the part of Steve Climber to write the Roman number 40 (XL)
(yes, version 40)
Anyway , one of the minor problems with the original one was that Search and Rescue could not locate them at the bottom of a cliff because the black fabric looked just like a shadow.
Several other tweaks (well 126 in total) were also implemented making the XXXX the Definitive go-to Flexible pack of the Millennium.
I have the short torso version.
