Hi,

I've been strapping my BD poles together with some bicycle tubing to support my Supermid and while this works fine from a structural point of view, it's fiddly, slow to set up and also has crushed the grips, causing some permanent damage.

Looking at other solutions, this seems perfect:

But I don't know if 12mm works for the BD poles? I've seen a few different measurements and can't work it out. If anyone knows the correct diameter for the 2012 model (plastic flick locks, old style) I'd be hugely grateful.

I wasn't aware of that product…nice find. I have a pair of alpine carbon corks but I'm terribly sorry…I don't have a reliable way of measuring the diameter.

I do show that to order it would cost $21.27…..the black diamond lower spare part costs $15 ->

Though, its currently unavailable…a call to customer support might have a time frame, and if you got it you would KNOW it would work.

I also use a supermid and alpine carbon corks and the bicycle tube method….are you connecting the two cork pieces together? I always connect the shaft by the two lowers…so the corks are on the ground and at the top of the mid….
