So…My hiking partner and I were on our way back to CO this coming weekend to take in some 14ers and return to LCW…obviously this latest storm puts a new spin on things.

Any suggestions for someplace within ~1k miles of STL as alternatives???

We ended up in the Pecos last May…looks like they are getting some snow as well, although quite a bit less…Any recent trips/experience in Pecos/Carson NF/Sange De Cristos???

Was thinking Guadalupes…but…already hitting the 90's there, and the whole "lack of water thing".
