Yep, you wouldn't know it by reading this forum but Pennsylvania by itself has at least 1500 miles of backpacking trails. When you combine that with what is in Virginia, and West Virginia I think you would be hard pressed to find anywhere other than perhaps places in the West that have that many trails within such a close drive of so many people that are accessible year round.
