i was in the neighborhood after work so i went to see him and his event.
i only stayed for the movie as i was dead tired.
So what i liked was his idea of sleeping bags with no insulation on the bottom as it is useless when crushed under your weight.
A few things im not sure about is the delicate fabric of his pack;z rest pad portion, not comfy nor insulating;minimal clothes,'if youre not wearing it,its extra weight'.I can see not having spare clothes for an overnighter but anything more than that and the stink factor and grime in your sleeping bag makes me think otherwise. Also his 'tent,a sheet rigged with hiking poles, seemed like it wouldnt protect you from rain or wind.I have a tarptent and it condensates a lot but Greg's seems to offer no protection.
Its too bad i couldnt stay longer but what i did see was informative and educational. It def gives me ideas and things to reconsider.

What is A16? What was the nature/purpose of Glen's slide show? Is he touring around, or was this one-off event? The event sounds interesting, but I am just completely unaware of what this is all about.

Thanks for any clarification!

i saw this event posted on meetup…it was a video of him and friends on a bp trip and one of them switches halfway in the trip from heavy to ultralight gear…
