So the park service/ranger at Kings Canyon / Sequoia National Park just called me about an overdue party.
Apparently two gentleman and ultra-marathoners came in over kearsarge pass and were headed for whitney and are overdue.
For a moment I actually thought I had bumped into them but it looks like it was another party.
The passes up there are still somewhat treacherous. Still lots of snow to deal with.
I did have a thought though. It would be nice to take a log of the names of the people you bump into. This way if there's an issue you can say whom you bumped into and when.
Could definitely help the park service track down missing people or at least rule them out.
