Get it? Bear canister?
May 6, 2014 at 4:16 pm #2099890So I read the thread title and with great excitement, click on it with the hopes of seeing some UL nirvana for the Sierras.
I never wish injury or illness on anyone but in your case, I'll be content with you locking your keys in your car or something along those lines ;)
May 6, 2014 at 4:17 pm #2099891Has it been approved?

Once Mother said My little pet
you ought to learn your alphabet
So in my soup I used to get
All the letters of the alphabet
I learned them all from A to Z
And now my Mothers giving meAnimal crackers in my soup
Monkeys and rabbits loop the loop
Gosh oh gee but I have fun
Swallowing animals one by oneMay 6, 2014 at 4:34 pm #2099901Ian I think the moral thing to do is pray for folks like Mitchell…
Something along these lines
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNMyPt3I8FwBut being ULers I think we should pray his Cuban tarp leaks, his McHale pack is too short, etc. Where's Doug, he could rewrite the lyrics for use.
May 6, 2014 at 5:36 pm #2099935. If only the top could be used as a frying pan.

Sorry, I've been busy butchering The Beatles instead:
To the tune of the Beatles’ “A Day in the Life” (my apologies to John and Paul)
I ate some chips today, oh boy.
And then I stood upon my bathroom scale
And though the numbers were quite sad
Well, I just had to laugh
My gut reached to my calfI blew my diet at McD’s
I didn’t notice that my girth had changed
A crowd of doctors stood and stared
They thought they’d seen it all
Now they know how high that I can get my darn cholesterooooooollllllllI’d love to loooooooooooooooose sooooooooooome weiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
(Actually this is an old one, I found it while rummaging around on my hard drive before a computer migration)
Edit to add: love the 'bear canister'!
May 6, 2014 at 6:14 pm #2099956How much with the crackers? How many days supply is that?
May 6, 2014 at 7:30 pm #2099979Do they have a smaller weekender version at 4 ounces?
May 6, 2014 at 7:52 pm #2099989Ken, it says net weight 46oz, but we've all learned never to trust listed weights. 5,160 calories total. I think you're best off refilling it with peanut M&Ms and olive oil.
Or honey.
May 6, 2014 at 11:39 pm #2100050YOu got me …. I was getting all excited too! I was like Yosemite here I come! I just bought a gossamer Kumo and I wonder if I can fit a standard bear can misery in there..
May 7, 2014 at 8:56 am #2100164I belly laughed.
Lord, I wish you had posted this one on April 1st!!!
May 7, 2014 at 9:30 am #2100173I would however like to be a fly on the wall when "Why yes ranger… I DO have a bear canister. Here let me show you."
May 7, 2014 at 12:19 pm #2100222Troll level: BPL
This made me chuckle. Thank you!
Now here's the real question, how much weight can you save by removing the label stickers?
May 7, 2014 at 12:26 pm #2100225Oh Mitchell. You're unBEARable. You (amimal) CRACK(er) me up.
May 7, 2014 at 5:54 pm #2100299My internet got glitchy when the picture was only about 20% loaded so I was fully expecting this to be a thread posted by someone using one of these food containers as a bear canister. (You know the people I'm talking about, we've all seen them.) I got geared up for the responses, and then the rest popped up.
I got double punked by this thread. Well played, BPL.
