We took a 3 day trip in to the canyon last weekend. We left Friday from Lipan Point down the Tanner trail to Tanner Rapids Camp. The next day we walked up river about 4 miles to the upper and of Palisade, dropped packs at a camp and headed up to the confluence of the Little Colorado River for a day hike.
Great trip, perfect Friday, maybe 85. Saturday was toasty pushing triple digits but the LCR made it all worth it. What a great place. 12 mile hike out Sunday was uneventful, if a bit strenuous.
