I just finished my first sewing/MYOG project. Made up a summer quilt for an upcoming backpacking/kayak trip. I'm pleased with the result. I used Argon 67 from Dutchware and Climashield Apex 2.5 from Thru-Hiker. It has a draw cord and velcro closure foot box. I haven't had a chance to weigh it yet, but I would estimate that it is no heavier than 16oz. Thanks Ron! Material costs were roughly $80 for 5 yards of the Argon and 2.5 yards of the Climashield Apex. I either had the other materials (velcro, cord locks, 1" webbing, flat cord, and thread) on hand or robbed them from other gear that I no longer use.

Looks familiar. I used the green argon on my dad's summer quilt as well. The fabric feels great, doesn't it?!?!

Yeah the argon feels really nice. Haven't slept under it in the hammock yet. Should get a chance to try it out this weekend if it's cool enough.
