I have a Petzl Tactikka that has 2 issues. The hinge for the battery compartment is broken and the little rubber cover on the switch is split/torn. This is a pretty expensive headlamp compared to an Energizer from Walmart, yet I have several Energizer Lamps that have been beat-up pretty good without a single issue.
Does anybody have experience with Petzl Warranty Service? Do they actually replace/repair or do they just say that anything/everything is caused by "abuse"?
I'm trying to figure out if I even want to return it?
