Finished my warm weather quilt. .67 Argon from Dutchware and 2.5 Climashield Apex from Thruhiker. Finished dimensions are 67" long, 52" wide, with a half taper. Simple sewn footbox. Should be good to 50* which will cover me down here from May through October. Final weight is 11 oz. and it packs down incredibly small!top

11oz? Not bad. I've been putting off a summer quilt for a while but this may just be the project I've been looking for =)

My first foray into sewing was a synthetic quilt. This one is my 4th. I haven't delved into baffles and down. Not sure I would even make the effort with EE quilts being so reasonably priced and much better quality than I can do at home.

Did a quick overnights last night. It was about 70 and muggy at 9pm and dropped to 60 by 6am. Quilt performed perfectly. The Argon fabric is luxurious. I didn't know what I was missing.

Very cool! I made a similar quilt with 2.5oz Apex and 1.1 ripstop last year. It has some snaps and drawcords at the head and foot plus a velcro footbox and weighs 16.1 ounces. Its hardly worth it but I kinda want to make another one with the Argon like you used since its so cheap and easy!

Jennifer, apex insulation comes as a roll just like fabric. and it's spec'd Depending on where you get it from, you can get 2.1, 2.5, 4, 5, and 6 oz weights.
