    I finally had a chance to try out the Deuce of Spades. Nice tool! Was able to try it out in hard ground and soft, worked well for both. And, nice to be able to hack through roots! Moves more dirt than my snow stake, point on tip cuts into dirt better than the rounded profile of many ultralight trowels.

    I did add 5 g to its weight by adding a piece of Sugru to the top of the handle. Much easier on the hand.

    The Smaller Original looks even better that the larger big dig.

    15 cm – 12 grammes.

    Is there a reason you preferred the Big Dig ?
