There is also Hammockforums.net/forum/

Trailspace.com/forums/

So…some are better than others.

Trailspace and cascadeclimbers are rarely updated…not active. Whiteblaze isn't very active when compared to BPL.

Mountainproject is extremely active…probably more so than BPL…but 98% is climbing gear (cams, rings, crampons, etc)…..hard to find actual backpacking gear though not impossible.

Hammockforums is a good option….yes, lots of hammocks but lots of gear as well. You do need 50 posts in their forums before you can sell something.

I've actually had good luck at rokslide….which is a hunters forum. Quite active, and I've been able to sell "heavy" or nonultralight equipment within minutes. Hunters are not as picky about weight as we are.

Thank you so much for the links! I'm mostly in search of a lightweight 10 degree bag…zpacks is my fantasy but money is tight!

While we're on the topic of gear swaps, does anyone know of a good fishing gear swap?

I'm trying to sell my skagit style spey casting fly fishing rig, which is going to be way too specific for a backpacking forum like this one.

Thanks for any help!

Only one I can think of is on Tenkara USA's website in their forum section.
