Yesterday my new tent arrived, a soulo, I was so excited to set it up but couldn't until today. I cleared my living room and layed it out, followed the instructions and noticed on three sides the inner touches the outer and the pitch is all together loose.I have searched and searched and can't find anyone who reports this. I've seen picture of it pitched with no stakes or guy lines and it looks nice and taught. Did I get a lemon or am I doing something wrong?

Front door, note, the top cover is loose as I was seeing if it made a differenceSoulo Front Door

EDIT: No idea why the pictures are upside down

It's difficult to tell from the pictures, but the sides could be touching the inner due to static electricity. Hilleberg refers to it specifically in the included literature and I believe the remedy is to wipe a damp towel on the outside of the inner tent. Mine looked exactly the same upon first pitch, and I tried the trick noted above and all was well. You're going to love the tent. It's a fortress.

Shot with an Apple product, perhaps?

"It's difficult to tell from the pictures, but the sides could be touching the inner due to static electricity. "

And the each time you pitch it in a micro-sand environment – Grand Canyon – you'll gain a fine coating of dust. You can wipe it down out there, but as soon as it dries, and the wind blows, you'll get it back. Sort of like chameleon camouflage.
