I finally put together a pack for solo weekends.

With the weight of the pack, my base will be 4-4 1/2 pounds and around 10 pounds total pack weight with water.
Took apart an old Salomon for the shoulder pads and hip-belt pockets.

I am using the dimpled closed cell foam on the inside so there's just enough room, even though it looks fairly big for a light weight weekend pack.
op
I still need to put ridged bottle holders on each side.

As of now the pack weighs 7.7 ounces.rf

Nice work Aaron, is that two attachments for the bottom of the shoulder strap. One at the bottom and one under your arm?

Finally made my first pack after all these years.

Just finished adding the ridged insulated bottle holders.
It added almost 3 ounces but works perfect.

Total weight is 10.6 ounces.

The two attachments are similar to some run vests, (and similar to the Flight 40)
It didn't work out as well as I thought it would, but with a few little changes it just might?

Since all my big items are homemade now, I'll have to post a good base with pictures of all my homemade gear.
Enjoy!

Love the reuse of components. Likely cut the work down significantly.

"Love the insulated bottle holders", said the person from Arizona, LOL!

And +1 on the Frankenstein-ing of the harness/hipbelt from an old pack — I did that for a UL daypack, and it works really well.
