RE: ZPacks Hexamid – What's the difference (weight, dimensional, vs cost) for the regular vs extended beak? I'm trying to figure out if the extended beak is really worth the extra cost/weight.

According to the website: The extended Beak adds 1.5 ounces (43 grams), about 1 foot of vestibule space for shoes, etc. and $65.
The main point is that adds extra weather protection. If you don't care about that then don't get it. Its not really much of a vestibule, and its intent is not to raise the space.
It seems pricey at $65 for an extra foot of vestibule????
The pole can be moved out some, giving more protection also. Just lowers the headroom a little. Kinda flattens the shelter a little.
