I am living vicariously right now, following several current PCT blogs, and 1 Appalachian Trail blog (which probably shouldn't count, as it is Wired and she is experienced, not your usual AT newb). Just for fun, I'd like to find a current CDT blog to follow as well, but since there are fewer folks that start that trail, I'm having a hard time finding them. I'd prefer to read a blog, I haven't found Postholer or Trailjournal to be really rewarding. Any suggestions?

I agree on the trail unites us. Elisabeth (Lovenote) started it just last year and is a good source of CDT blogs.
Diane,
Do you have any good PCT blog recs for this year? I actually read 1-2 at a time. I actually just finished one the other day (Carrot Quinns). (good winter reading!)
I like reading ones that overlap – its fun to get different perspectives of some of the same people you read about.
I just supplement my normal books with blogs now…
Currently, I am reading Rambling Hemlock's blog ramblinghemlock.blogspot.com–she just started on the PCT, and also Blondie Hikes, blondiehikes.wordpress.com–I though she was getting off the trail, but looks like she just took a few days off at home, and is going back to it. Ryan Grayson ryangrayson.blogspot.com will be setting out in May going SOBO.
Then there's Loveline, who will be setting out in a couple weeks, going NOBO. lovelinepct.blogspot.com
Rambling Hemlock has been very enjoyable even off the trail, she writes very well. Ryan Grayson's blog is fantastic anyway, he had some great articles interviewing a nutritionist and a podiatrist in his prep. Lovely photos as well. The other two are briefer, not as descriptive. Blondie tends to post a lot of photos, but not much dialog somedays.
I'm hoping to do the Wonderland Trail this summer, but the luxury of taking off for 4-6 months at a time is not within my grasp at the moment. Some day, though….
