I've long since given up on Mountain House and the like, and I now mostly do my own dehydrating (when I have time), but where do you guys order food when you want something palatable?

I've tried Hawk Vittles (lasagna was great) once, and I have ordered supplies frequently from PackitGourmet. (Haven't really found any prepared meals from Packit that are spectacular). Any others in particular that you guys recommend?

I have been buying mostly from hawkvittles as well. Love the lasagna. Going to try a couple of the meals from hungry hiker this year as well. They are offering 5% off this month

Will be interested to see what else others recommend.

I like a lot of the Packit Gourmet double serving dinners (which I can totally eat by myself after a long day of bushwhacking). The Chili, Tuscan Stew, Gumbo (salty), Chicken and Dumplings (I add more vegis), and the Sherperd's Pie (MONGO meal!) are all regular staples for me. I've eaten them all many times and will continue to order them.

I have some Hawkvittles at home right now and the only one I have tried so far was the Buffalo Pasta(?), which I thought was terrible.

Storehouse Foods makes some good food for packing. It's already packaged for freezer bag cooking but is a little low on fat.

Ok, Picky guy here………….. Tried Hawk Vittles, Tried all the REI brands,

THEN I tried the Packit Gourmet.

The bean burritos are as good as anything you can buy anywhere. And fairly inexpensive. And their Chili! Oh my. They thought of everything. If they were publicly traded I'd buy stock.
