Sorry, I'm not a windows guy. I wonder if it was installed properly, I do know that programs that aren't installed properly can cause trouble or be difficult to find when you're trying to uninstall. The Steep and Cheap page says the following, but I think you said it doesn't show in Add/Remove programs, so perhaps the only other way you'll get it to uninstall is to muck about in the registry, which is not for the faint of heart:

Install/Uninstall
This application has been built for Microsoft Windows XP users.
The alert requires Microsoft .net 2.0 Framework.
Installation:
Click "Download"
Click the installation icon
The alert will show on start up of your computer
Uninstallation
Open Control Panel
Click "Add/Remove Programs"
Scroll to "SAC Desktop Alert"
Click "Change/Remove"

Did you download the Internet Explorer plug in instead? Do a quick check and possibly remove:

Open the desktop, and then tap or click the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar.

Tap or click the Tools button Tools button, and then tap or click Manage add-ons.
Under Show, tap or click All add-ons, and then select the add-on you want to delete.

If the add-on can be deleted, you'll see the Remove option. Tap or click Remove and then tap or click Close.

Similar steps for Chrome or Firefox.

If it is indeed the program vs a plug-in, a bit harder trouble shoot through this forum. :)

One possibility is a system restore. Restore the computer back to the time BEFORE you installed this program.

PLEASE NOTE: You will lose *ANY* programs you installed up to and after the date you select. *YOU WILL NOT LOSE DATA* (e.g. PDF, doc files, photos) etc.

In other words, if you installed a new application after you installed the Steep and Cheap program, you'll lose that application in addition to the Steep and Cheap program, but not the data.

This operation is not hard, but if you are not comfortable doing these steps, you'll want to have someone give you a hand.

Good luck! :)
