New ZB-2 from Chris Zimmer at about 30L volume (23" height) and 21 oz (no frame but has capability to use one). Loving that black dyneema grid.

I had Chris cut down the volume on this pack and use side shock cord compression, reducing weight further. My similar 50-ish liter ZB-2 pack worked well (keeping it) but packed a bit too warm on my last trip, with my only 20 degree quilt warm enough to caused me to sleep in during the mornings like a lazy bum (say it isn't so!!). So going to combine with a 40 or 50 degree quilt, very simple bug shelter, and simplified cook/food system. The orange cords should give me the ability to stow light items (use carbon trek poles for example). Have everything else except the lighter quilt, so gonna make a decision on that.

Mesh pocket detail. The shock cords adjust for various loads, though an unpacked tarp will likely go here..
