Here is a question to all you hex amid users, I was thinking about getting a hex amid and 120cm fixed z poles. Will these work together?I think it suggests 125… I know I could prop it on a rock, sounds unstable, Or I could go with 130 and slant it?

Thanks!!

Pretty sure it will work fine. The tent will be very slightly lower to the ground. If in doubt shoot Joe or Matt an email. They are both very quick to respond to any questions.

It will work just fine Alex. I often raise or lower mine dependant on the weather.

Works just fine, I have both a Solo and the 120cm Zpoles. On cold windy nights I will lower the z-pole a bit by unlocking it with the pin just under the grip to get sides closer to the ground. Shortens the pole by about 2 inches and still works great with the Hexamid Solo.

I have also used a 120cm fixed pole with the Zpacks Hexamid Solo with out issue. Seems like a really good height for the solo.
