I've added some LineLoc3s to the tie out loops on my tarps using the LineLocs from Zpacks with the grosgrain ribbon attached, using a single prusik. This certainly works, but I notice that the load is at a single point on the tarp loop, as the two ribbons cinch up at a single point. This sometimes does not distribute the load equally to the tarp tie out, given angles.
I noticed on the Yama site the use of cord for attaching LineLocs, which would seem to solve any load distribution issues. See photo below, from Gen's website. Have folks come up with any other trick methods for attaching LineLocs?
