Hi All, was curious to find out if anyone has ever used the Granite Gear Nimbus Core with a Bearikade Expedition. How was it? How did it handle? Did you load it up? Cool looking pack for sure!

Anyone have experience with the Granite Gear Nimbus Core? I take it is not very popular by the underwhelming response!

If memory serves…that pack is almost 4 pounds…which is why there might not be many people chiming in here.

I have used a granite gear blaze with the expedition without any issues.

I would recommend a lighter pack for certain though, I think you have a list over on the gear list section you are trying to lighten??

It is a little over 3.5 lbs, but it also has a far more robust suspension that the GG Blaze. It shares the same suspension as the previous Nimbus Meridian which is intended to carry much higher loads than the Blaze.

I think the issue is that it is a very specialized tool that, apart from carrying a bear canister, does not seem to fit into the traditional mold of a backpack.

Well, I think that says it all… Think it might be time for ULA catalyst??? :-)

Just want to buy my pack now then I am pretty set for all the big items. Hardly ultralight, but under 20 pounds so ok. Subtract out the bear can, fishing gear, camera and solar, base weight is 14.3 pounds. Seems good to me! :-)
