Any who have moved up in more modern MSR stoves, will the MSR canister stand work with the controls on a MSR RapidFire? I'd sure love a Windpro or II that has such a flexible fuel line compared to the stiff one on the RapidFire, but the RapidFire I have is so clean.

Any screw-thread canister should work with any screw-thread stove.
That said, beware of the Chinese canisters. There have been problems with them.
(Chinese stoves work fine.)

I was looking for the plastic stand that holds the canisters in an inverted position, not sure the stand will help with the RapidFires stiff line.

Ah – some of the Japanese adapters will do that by design.

Duane,
No, the Windpro II’s inverted canister stand will not work with a Rapidfire. The canister stand from the Windpro clips into specially designed groves on the valve unit of the Windpro II. The Rapidfire doesn’t have those grooves.
I just lean my canister up against a rock. Heck, the Rapidfire’s valve unit is so stiff to turn, you hardly need a canister stand. Just put a pot of water on the stove to weight it down, and the fuel line should hod the canister in place. If not lean the canister against a rock or something.
Oddly, heavy beast though it is, I kind of like my old Rapidfire. Go figure.
Hi HJ, this is the one I got from you. I'll live with it. So many stoves, so little time. :)

Oh, nice, Duane.
I still like my RapidFire, dinosaur though it is. No canister stand for it though.
