Does anyone have any experience with both of these products? Just wondering if both of the products perform similarly because it seems like the Rab Meco is very expensive to buy especially in the US. They both have similar ratios of wool (65/35). I like long sleeve wool tees for long term backpacking trips because of the anti-stink factor and I liked how the Rab Meco seemed to dry a bit faster than my 100% wool 150g tees that I usually use, while still having similar anti-microbial properties. The Rab has the "cocona" technology and I don't know if this is just gimmicky and that the patagonia polyester in the Mrino 1 will perform similarly.
I will be using these mainly for high alpine summer backpacking in the rockies as my primary shirt. I can't handle the feeling of polyester tees on multi-day trips. It's not only the stink, which is the problem. I find that they actually feel annoyingly sticky (especially when sleeping in the soiled shirts at night)and that they start breathing less when they are dirty causing me to feel "wet". It's not always so practical or convenient to wash your main hiking shirt on the trail.
