The only hiking shirt that I can find that acts as an XLT is a Kuhl Wunderer XXL. Is there anything else out there? Thank you.

Columbia has tall sizes in many of their shirts. I like the Silver Ridge fabrics; the shirts are reasonably priced and there are lots of dealers (read competition).

I like the Silver Ridge shorts too and zip off pants too.

If you use a windshirt, a button down shirt is extra weight.

I haven't seen it covered well, but a button down shirt can provide some wind protection and with better breathability than the low CFM windshirts, although they weigh 3x-4x more.

Do the Darth Vader breath test of your favorite nylon button down shirt. You'll be surprised.

Yeah, I need to find that one piece that is in the middle that I can use under a poncho for some light rain protection, in direct sunlight, too keep off bugs and to block the wind some. And yeah, I know that about hiking shirts.
